About Aaron
Before entering the counseling field, I spent years as a remodel carpenter, wildland firefighter, and a small business owner. I am a husband, father, outdoor adventure enthusiast, and like you, I hold many other sides of myself too. These experiences shape my understanding of resilience, pressure, the complexity of people’s lives and the pressures many people quietly carry. I bring that perspective into the therapy room, offering a steady, compassionate presence where you can explore challenges without judgment.
I believe people are inherently good and capable of meaningful change. At times, life’s circumstances and adaptations can pull us out of alignment with who we want to be. My role is to help you notice those patterns, reconnect with your values, and move toward a more intentional and fulfilling life. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for something different, I’m here to support you in finding insight and real, lasting change.
I work with teens and adults navigating stress, identity, relationships, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gottman Method couples counseling. I am currently a Master’s student at Idaho State University pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and expect to graduate spring 2027.
